I was born in Millard County and grew up in Deseret. Growing up, I was always working with my brother and dad on the farm or participating in different sports with my sister. I have always been a well rounded person enjoying both academics and sporting activities. In High School I took all the science and math classes I could take and was the art sterling scholar my senior year.

After High School, I went down to Southern Utah University and then transferred to the University of Utah. I graduated with a Biology Composite Major with Minors in Chemistry and Math. I later acquired a Minor in Physics from Brigham Young University.

I became a teacher at Millard High School teaching both Chemistry and Physics. At the time I also helped coach the girls high school basketball team. I then transferred to Delta Middle School and taught health, math, and art for three years before moving to Orem to continue teaching. After teaching in Orem for five years, I was able to move back to Delta with my husband. While teaching at Delta High School, I taught Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. I also helped with girls basketball and was the advisor for the National Honor Society.

After moving back to Delta, my husband and I started our family and were blessed with four children.

Vicki Lyman's Family

My husband and I ran his family farm while our kids were young, getting them involved in the agricultural aspect of life.

In 2013, I retired from teaching and received a job at Intermountain Power Service Corporation. I now work in the Environmentalist Group as a Lead Technical Analyst.

In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my kids and grandkids, riding four wheelers and side-by-sides in the mountains, and gardening.

ABOUT ME

WHY SHOULD YOU VOTE FOR ME?

I feel that I am good  fit as a County Commissioner because I am an empty nester with time available to do the job, and to do it well. I also have experience in a lot of different areas and feel that would be very beneficial to help make decisions for the County.
